When I was in Quebec last summer I loved this red gate by an old church yard. I was so excited to be able to do a watercolor picture of it. The place was so quiet and inviting.

One of my newer water colors from a photo my friend took and generously allowed me to make a painting.

Driving by this old barn in East Berlin one day and had to stop to take a picture. I created this scene from that photo. The pond doesn't exist and later that year someone took down the barn for a housing development. Alas, the price of progress.

I love to paint flowers! This one hangs in my living room. The center took hours to paint. There are different colors in between each of the little dots in the center of the flower. The colors gave it life and the bud seems real. This was a very labor intensive work but it was worth it.

My daughter had a yellow lab named Elvis that we all adored. He was special dog and we miss him terribly. When I painted this picture I was thinking of him and came up with this name. He lives on in all our hearts.

The last painting I just recently finished from a photo of rose hips on the beach in Rhode Island
I feel this photo of the painting doesn't do it justice. The color are so much more vibrant.

cat with an attitude

I love the expression on this cat's face. I painted my own cats bowl for him to put his paw on.

The view from the window is totally in my imagination. Wouldn't it be lovely to be able to look out your window a see this scene

my friends dock

While in News Hampshire visiting friends I took this photo and created this picture. My friends loved it so much that I had to sell it to them.

Hollyhocks on fence

I painted this from a photo I took one summer while on vacation in northwest CT. The house has been rearranged from the right side of picture.
I have been painting most of my life, but in the last 10 to 15 years I have concentrated on watercolors. The way the paints flow and the vibrant colors are what I love about it. I am very detailed orientated, sometimes too much so. But this is what I like to do.
I have sold several paintings and won prizes at juried shows.

I hope you like my art.
